Parents

Parents are like the Twin Towers.
Standing there proud and tall.
For the whole world to see.
And to protect us from all.

They will always be there.
To stand by our side.
They will always love us.
No matter what we decide.

They are strong and weak.
They are happy and sad.
They will shed a tear.
Whenever we are bad.

Whenever we are in trouble.
They are our shining light.
Just like a bright star.
That guides us through the night.

When we are down and out.
And in need of a friend.
They will be our helping hand.
Staying with us to the end.

But when they are gone.
They can never be replaced.
But no matter how long it's been.
I will never forget their face.
