His wedding he forgot
He was surely in trouble.
So off to the flower shop
He goes on the double
Stops at a vendor by the side of the road
selects from the truck a lovely vase
Filled with a dozen red roses
And a bow made from lace
Once he arrives home
He throws open the door
But the house looks empty
Not as it has before
He starts to get scared
And yells for his wife
But there is no answer
From his love of his life
The dead silence is broken
The phone starts to ring
Afraid of who it might be
And the news it would bring
He picks up the phone
And heard a voice he knew
Coming from the other end
Saying I miss you and love you
As the tears starts to flow
down the side of his face
The voice said Dad, you there?
I too miss Mom's embrace
Dad I am worried about you
Since our Mom past away
On your anniversary over a year ago
On that fatal and unforgettable day
